# Defining point object types

Select **Keycore_Point** -> **Point object types**

- Name: type name
- Label...Label [en]: the label and its translations displayed to the user
- Symbol name: the name of the symbol displayed on the map
- Point object type category: Specify the available options in the POINT_TYPE_CATEGORY group under Text constants. ([Editing text constants](/docs/defining-point-object-types-10-1#_Tekstivakioiden_muokkaaminen))
