# Defining point object types

Select **Keycore_Point** -> **Point object types**

- Name: type name
- Label...Label [en]: label and its translations displayed to the user.
- Symbol name: name of the symbol displayed on the map.
- Point object type category: define the available options in the POINT_TYPE_CATEGORY group under Text constants. ([Editing text constants](/docs/defining-point-object-types-4#_Tekstivakioiden_muokkaaminen))
