Attributes

Regardless of the object’s type, they all have similar attributes. The information is related to the owner of the object, the geometry of the object, the location, the area and the plan. If you want to create a new point object or a conduit, the required information is Type and Usage state. For the cable, the required information is Type, Installation type and Usage state. Mandatory data fields are indicated on forms with the text This is required field and a "*" beside the field’s name.

Some information is automatically updated when a new item is created. For example, when creating a new cable, its Length and Database ID are updated. The KeyMobile street light network includes point and line objects. In addition, there are also forms related to object areas and addresses.

Electric premise

The Electric premise form can be used to search for, edit and add electric premises to the system. Mandatory data fields are indicated on forms with the text This is required field and a "*". More about the general functions of the form in the chapter Button on object from

Block fuse

The group fuses connected to the electric premises are listed on the Block fuse tab.

  1. To add new block fuses, press the More button at the bottom of the form

  2. Then click Add fuse which will open the Electric fuse form.

  3. The mandatory information required to create a new fuse is Fuse and Switch. The extension form can be used to add and edit extensions to the system.

Electric splice

The Electric splice form can be used to edit and add electric splices to the system. The mandatory data fields for creating a new electric splice object are Type and Usage state. The mandatory data fields are indicated on the forms by the text This is required field and a "*". For more information on the general functions of the form, please refer to the chapter on Buttons on object forms

Electric manhole

The Electric manhole form can be used to edit and add electric manholes to the system. The mandatory data fields for creating a new electric splice object are Type and Usage state. The mandatory data fields are indicated on the forms by the text This is required field and a "*". For more information on the general functions of the form, please refer to the chapter on Buttons on object forms

Other electric objects

The Other electric objects form can be used to edit and other electric objects to the system. Other electric objects include, for example, Coil, Plate, Earth, Billboard and Portal. The mandatory data fields for creating a new electric splice object are Type and Usage state. The mandatory data fields are indicated on the forms by the text This is required field and a "*". For more information on the general functions of the form, please refer to the chapter on Buttons on object forms.

Electric pole

The Electric pole form can be used to add, edit and delete electric poles to the system. For more information on the general functions of the form, please refer to the chapter on Buttons on object forms.

The Electric pole form contains two tabs dedicated to column data: Pole and Purlin/base. The Pole tab contains information about the pole, warranty and hatch count as well as a list of associated streetlights. The program calculates the Warranty expired date from the values in the Change date and Warranty Period (months) fields. The warranty dates are updated and removed from the form when you press the Save button. The Purlin/base tab allows you to enter information about the purlin and base.  

Purlin/base

On the Purlin/base tab, you can save information related to the purlin and trunk. By selecting a manufacturer in the Pole manufacturer field, the options in the Trunk field will be filtered accordingly. The same applies to the Base manufacturer and Base type fields. For the Trunk and Base type fields, several purlin or base types can be specified for a single pole, depending on the manufacturer.

Electric streetlight

The Electric streetlight form can be used to add, edit and delete electric streetlights in the system. For more information on the general functions of the form, please refer to the chapter on Buttons on object forms.

The Electric streetlight form opened from the Electric pole form is pre-filled for the pole but the electric streetlight can also be set up in the system and placed on the map without a pole. Mandatory information fields for creating a new electric pole are Lamp type and Lamp power (W). The functionality of the Light power and Lamp power fields you must select the number value you want from the list.

Electric cable

The Electric cable form can be used to add, edit and delete electric cables in the system. For more information on the general functions of the form, please refer to the chapter on Buttons on object forms.  

Creating a new electric cable

  1. To add a new cable, fill in the mandatory information in the Electric cable form. Mandatory information is Usage state, Installation type, and Type.

  2. The Common settings tab has an Installation depth class field that can be used to determine the placement depth of the cable. 

  3. Determine the location as instructed in Location of line object.

  4. Save your work. 

Connecting an electric cable 

The electric cable can be connected to electric premises, electric splices, electric poles or electric streetlights when editing the cable's location. The electric cable can be connected from the beginning or at the end. The Connection (Beginning) and Connection (End) fields related to connections are located in the bottom section of the Electric cable for. By opening the drop-down  menu you can access to all the functions related to connections on that form.                                                                                                                                                 

  1. Select Edit location from More menu.

  2. Start connecting a cable by first moving it on top of the target object and finish editing the location.

  3. Next, open the Connection (B) or Connection (E) drop-down  menu on the Electric cable form and select Connect. If you started editing the electric cable’s location on top of the target object, choose Connection (B). If the end point of the electric cable is on top of the target object, choose Connection (E).

  4. Press the point on the map where the network object which you are trying connect to is located.

  5. Double press the desired object from the list that opens.

  6. Save your work.

  7. You can later view the connected object on the Connection (B) field if the object is connected from the beginning or from the Connection (E) field if the object is connected from the end. 

Disconnecting an electric cable 

To disconnect an object, select the Disconnect from the drop-down  menu. 

Electric conduit

The Electric conduit form can be used to add, edit and delete electric conduits in the system. For more information on the general functions of the form, please refer to the chapter on Buttons on object forms

Plan

Different items can be linked to the plan in the Plan data field of the object form. If the desired plan has not yet been created, it can be done on the Plan form. When creating a new plan, the mandatory data are Type, State and Identification. The plan will be selected for other forms based on the Identification, so it is recommended that it’s identifiable. Once the plan has been created and saved in the system using the Save button, it can be selected for the objects from the Plan data field which is available on all object forms. 

Address

The Address tool can be used to create, locate and highlight addresses on the map. When creating a new address, the mandatory data fields are Streetname and City. 

Free area

Use the Area form to add a free-form area to the map. You can add an area to the map, for example, for a printout. The area can be given a name, type, colour, mode of use and can also be attached to the plan. 

Creating a free area

  1. Move the point on the map and enter corner points at the desired places.

  2. Then press the - key, which completes the digitizing the object.

  3. Save your work.
