1. Purpose and scope
These principles define how Keypro uses artificial intelligence responsibly and ethically in its role as a SaaS vendor of Network Information Systems. They apply both to the internal use of AI within Keypro’s own operations and to AI-enabled functionality delivered as part of Keypro’s products and services.
The purpose of these principles is to ensure that AI is used in a manner that is secure, transparent, lawful and appropriate for systems that support critical and business-critical infrastructure. Keypro’s use of AI is always aligned with applicable legislation, regulatory requirements, recognized standards and long-term system reliability.
2. Human-centric and responsible use of AI
Keypro uses AI primarily as a decision-supporting technology. AI is applied to assist users and experts in analysis, navigation, data discovery, quality assurance and efficiency improvements, but not to replace human responsibility or judgment.
Final accountability for operational, safety-related and compliance-related decisions always remains with humans. AI-enabled features are designed to support informed decision-making and are not used to autonomously control networks or execute irreversible actions without explicit human involvement.
3. Safety, reliability and continuity
Because Keypro’s systems are used in critical operational environments, safety and continuity are core principles for all AI usage. AI-enabled functionality must behave predictably and must not compromise system availability, data integrity or performance.
AI is never a single point of failure in Keypro products. Core system functionality remains available independently of AI features, and non-AI workflows are always maintained to ensure uninterrupted system use.
4. Transparency and explainability
Keypro is committed to transparency in the use of AI. When AI is used in products or services, this is clearly communicated to users. AI-assisted outputs are presented in a way that makes their nature clear and understandable.
Where feasible, AI behavior is explainable and traceable to underlying data sources. Keypro avoids opaque or non-interpretable AI behavior in customer-facing or safety-relevant contexts.
5. Data protection, privacy and confidentiality
All AI usage at Keypro follows applicable data protection legislation and contractual obligations agreed with customers. Customer data is handled with strict confidentiality and used only for agreed purposes.
Customer data is not used to train public or external AI models without explicit contractual agreement. AI solutions are designed according to privacy-by-design and data minimization principles, and sensitive infrastructure data is protected through access controls, encryption and logical separation.
6. Security and compliance with standards
Keypro designs and operates AI functionality in alignment with applicable legislation, regulatory requirements and recognized information security standards. AI components are treated as an integral part of the overall system architecture and are subject to the same security controls, risk assessments and monitoring practices as other system components. This includes secure software development practices, controlled use of third-party technologies, vulnerability management and continuous monitoring. AI must strengthen, not weaken, the overall security posture of Keypro’s products.
7. Ethical and fair use
Keypro does not use AI for surveillance, intrusive profiling or automated decision-making that could unfairly impact users or stakeholders. AI is not used to assess individuals beyond technical system usage and performance analytics.
Ethical considerations, including avoidance of bias and misleading outputs, are part of AI design, testing and review processes.
8. Internal use of AI at Keypro
Internally, Keypro may use AI to support software development, testing, quality assurance, documentation, support processes and operational efficiency. Internal AI usage follows strict rules to ensure that confidential customer data is not exposed to unauthorized tools or services.
AI-generated outputs are reviewed by human experts before being used for customer-facing purposes or decision-making.
9. AI in Keypro software products
AI-enabled functionality delivered as part of Keypro software products is introduced in a controlled and incremental manner. Such functionality is optional and additive, and it does not replace or degrade existing non-AI workflows.
AI features are versioned, documented and released as part of Keypro’s normal product lifecycle. They undergo the same quality assurance, security review and change management processes as all other functionality.
10. Third-party AI technologies
When third-party AI services or models are used, they are assessed for security, compliance and reliability. Data flows, processing locations and dependencies are documented, and architectural choices are made to avoid unnecessary vendor lock-in and to maintain long-term flexibility.
11. Governance and continuous review
Keypro maintains clear internal ownership of AI-related decisions and documents the purpose, scope and design of AI usage. The AI principles described here are reviewed and updated regularly to reflect technological development, regulatory changes and evolving customer expectations.
12. Commitment
Keypro is committed to using AI responsibly, transparently and securely. AI is a tool that supports users and improves system quality, not an authority that replaces human responsibility.
All AI usage at Keypro serves customers, system reliability and long-term trust.
